Joyce grew up in Clifton, New Jersey with three other siblings. "Dad was a mason, and Mom worked part-time in a grocery. Their income was limited, and I knew a higher education wasn't something they could afford for me."

As a result, Joyce put herself through Boston College, holding down a full-time job, obtaining dual degrees in an accelerated program, all within three years. She graduated with honors and went on to establish herself in a rewarding career in healthcare administration, where she managed the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center & Spaulding Hospital Pain Rehabilitation Programs, and raising money for the Harvard Endowment special funds.

Today, as an organizational management consultant, living in Aspen, Colorado, Joyce has managed multi-million dollar budgets for large and small businesses – helping clients to preserve, reorganize, or sell individual practices based on their specific need.

Since 2001, Joyce has served as President of a metropolitan district in Colorado valued at nearly $1 billion dollars. As President, she's dealt with all aspects of financial planning, including the issuance and repayment of more than $4.5 million in municipal bonds (and their repayment) and the budget and maintenance of the district's roads and water delivery systems.

Joyce has also served on several nonprofit boards at both the local and national level in various positions, including VP, Treasurer, Secretary, and Development Chair. In these capacities, she has helped raise more than $30 million, putting these nonprofits on sustainable financial footing.
